Strangefolk Original Lineup To Reunite in March

We are happy to announce a very special reunion weekend with founding members Reid Genauer, Jon Trafton, Erik Glockler, and Luke Smith. The band will be performing at Higher Ground in Burlington, VT and State Theater in Portland, ME. This special event marks the first time the band has played together formally onstage since their farewell Garden of Eden concert in New Haven, VT in September 2000.

“We’ve been talking about doing something like this for years. It’s really a thrill to announce these shows and be working together toward a common goal again,” says Jon Trafton, Strangefolk guitarist. “It’s been great to reconnect with each other. Playing Higher Ground and The State feels like coming home. ”

We've got some news for you! Due to some very special circumstances original Strangefolk drummer, Luke Smith, will be back on the kit at this year's Strange Creek festival! We are thrilled to have him back for this amazing occasion and can't wait to take the stage.

In March Pete Mason hit the road with the band for its two night run from Burlington to Boston, interviewing band members together and separately during the course of 48 hours. These interviews rounded out some conversations he'd had with Reid Genauer in the preceding weeks.
